Biography

Graduate of Chatham University (1961), Harvard University Law School (1964). Attorney practicing in New York City in 1971 while guest lecturing at the New School for Social Research. Director of the Community Law Offices, a project of the Legal Aid Society. Co-author with Chris Clark of How to Get Along with Black People: A Handbook for White Folks - And Some Black Folks Too (1971). Taught at Hofstra University until approximately 1980. Published multiple articles in Rutgers Law Review under married named Sheila Rush Okpaku in 1976, but returned to using Sheila Rush in 1982 while representing Ananda Church of God Realization.
