Self-described as a working conference, the Goals of Higher Adult Education Conference was held at the New School from December 17-19, 1959. In addition to the New School, the conference was organized by representatives of a variety of universities in the United States and Canada, as well as publications such as the Readers Digest. Materials include correspondence of organizers, participants, and funding organizations, as well as panel proposals, reports and lists of expenses.
