Scope and Contents

Hans Staudinger (1889-1980) served as faculty and Emeritus (1934-1980) and dean (1942-1943, 1950-1951, 1953-1959) of the Graduate Faculty of Political and Social Science and director of the Institute of World Affairs (1951-1953). In English and German, these records, mostly between 1954 and 1964, represent Staudiinger's activities as an administrator and professor of economics and include correspondence; course material in the form of syllabi, outlines and bibliographies; reports as dean; photographs, lists, and correspondence documenting events, such as luncheons and the Theodore Heuss convocation, and reports regarding the New School’s financial crisis of 1963.
