Scope and Contents

This series includes items related to Vidich's writings, in the form of manuscripts, offprints and photocopies, along with correspondence regarding contracts, publication rights and permissions, proposals for monographs and edited collections, and contributions to larger works, such as introductions, forewards and book reviews. The series reflects Vidich's frequent collaborations with Joseph Bensman and Stanford Lyman. Items relating to Vidich's conferences and invited talks primarily include correspondence and printed material, along with some notes and typescripts of talks. Also included is correspondence and reader reviews documenting Vidich's work as reader and editorial consultant for academic and trade presses, as well as his association with grant-giving and professional institutions, such as the Ford Foundation.
