This series concerns Eugene Lang College, the undergraduate liberal arts division of The New School. The files span the period from the College's dedication and renaming after New School trustee Eugene Lang in 1985 until 2003. The series also contains the "Smith Report," a report from 1984 commisioned by New School President Jonathan Fanton, on the possibility of housing an undergraduate liberal arts program at The New School.
