One set of slides depicts Nero and a man posing in front of a collapsed building, probably 34 Carroll Street in Brooklyn, New York, which collapsed in August of 1977. It is unclear why Nero and her friend were there, as Nero did not live nearby. The other set of slides depicts textiles and other artifacts, presumably taken by Nero while travelling.
