A one-day seminar, described in the course catalog as follows:

The 1980's are for every woman a decade to participate in her own survival and growth. Issues of the 1980's are critical, and understanding empowers women of every age, ethnic background, experience, education, and economic status. During the morning session, participants meet with a panel and role models and then join workshops for self-evaluation and for vocational assessment." Held in cooperation with the Mayor's Voluntary Action Coordinating Council, Second Careers Program; National Commission on Working Women; New York City Commission on the United Nations and the Consular Corps; New York City Commission on the Status of Women, Displaced Homemakers' Program; Women's Action Alliance; Women's Apprenticeship Program; Women's Bureau, U.S. Department of Labor; and Women's Division, U.S. Small Business Administration.
