Scope and Contents

The Council of Literary Magazines and Presses (since 2015, the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses), or CLMP, is a membership organization of small literary publishers established in 1967 as the Coordinating Council of Literary Magazines. The organization provides support and resources, and hosts workshops and conferences for literary publishers and the larger publishing community.

Prior to 2020, CLMP held an annual three-day Literary Writers Conference featuring panels and workshops to assist aspiring writers in navigating the publishing industry. Topics included finding an agent, working with editors, and submitting work for publication in literary magazines.
