The New School Free Press is a student newspaper at The New School. It was first published in 2007, after INPRINT, an older student paper, ceased publication. The paper is both an online and a printed publication, with the print version originally published weekly and transitioning to monthly in 2012. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the last monthly printed issue was published in March 2020, after which the New School Free Press began to only print a single "special issue" a year as a complement to its digital content.

The student newspaper did not publish issues in either Fall 2022 or Spring 2023 as a result of the university strike.
