About the Work interview series
This collection contains a series of filmed interviews with prominent actors, directors, and writers discussing their creative process. The series was hosted by Professor Karen Ludwig of The New School's School of Drama in front of a live audience of students.
College of Performing Arts course catalogs
Consists of course catalogs with information about the policies, faculties and courses of Mannes School of Music. Collection includes a limited number of catalogs focused exclusively on the Extension Division, Preparatory Division, Summer School, and Jazz and Contemporary BFA Program, while most cover a broad range of courses.
Elizabeth Aaron records
Elizabeth Aaron taught ear-training in the Techniques of Music department of Mannes College of Music (later, Mannes School of Music at The New School) from 1957 to 2017. The collection consists of administrative files relating to Aaron’s committee roles, Mannes board of trustee minutes, notebooks, recordings, photographs, and materials pertaining to the attempted merger of Mannes and Manhattan School of Music in 1978.
International Schenker Symposium records
The International Schenker Symposium, a conference dedicated to furthering the study of the system of music theory developed by Heinrich Schenker, was held at the Mannes School of Music septennially from 1985 to 2013. The collection contains papers presented and administrative files primarily from the first symposium in 1985, and the fourth symposium in 2006. Audio recordings of portions of the 1985, 2006, and 2013 symposia are also included.
Mannes Camerata collection
The Mannes Camerata, founded in 1981 by Paul Echols, was Mannes College of Music's early-music ensemble. It was comprised of students, faculty, and graduates of the combined undergraduate and graduate early music programs at the Mannes, which joined The New School in 1989. The collection contains scores, schedules and program notes, photographic materials, librettos, press releases, and correspondence.
Mannes College Chamber Music and Orchestra concert programs
This collection of formerly bound concert programs for the Mannes Chamber Ensemble and the Mannes Orchestra was compiled by former Mannes School of Music orchestra manager Kelly Edwards.
Mannes College of Music administrative records collection
The New School Archives staff created the Mannes College of Music administrative records collection by integrating several collections documenting the Mannes College of Music (now, Mannes School of Music). The collection includes correspondence, event flyers, photographs, legal records, meeting minutes, illustrations, administrative records and reports.
Mannes College of Music Concert Office collection
Collection consists of concert programs for Mannes School of Music student and faculty recitals as well as promotional materials for other school performances. Also includes press releases and event calendars. Mannes was established in 1916 by David and Clara Mannes and became a division of The New School in 1989. As of 2018, Mannes is part of The New School's College of Performing Arts.

Mannes Commencement Archive
This collection is comprised of materials relating to The Mannes College of Music (as of 2024, Mannes School of Music, part of the College of Performing Arts at The New School) commencement and other ceremonies between 1961 and 2013. The collection includes programs from commencements, recognition ceremonies, and dean’s receptions, as well as speech transcripts and correspondence.
