Summary

The American Council for Émigrés in the Professions was founded in 1945 by Drs. Else Staudinger and Alvin Johnson to provide aid and placement for World War II refugees who had been professionals in Europe. Records contain correspondence, meeting minutes, photographs, and subject files. Access is provided to this unprocessed record group, but some files may be restricted.
