Scope and Contents As described by Crews in furnished inventory: Rally and march from City Hall to Wall St and back to City Hall (tape 1). This may be the same footage represented in the files in the subfolder OWS_ march_rally_circa2011. However, while Crews's inventory indicates the date as May 12, a YouTube video found online indicates a Make the Banks Pay! One miniDV and two video files documenting the installation of David Van Zandt as president of The New School on 2011 September 15. The event took place in the university's auditorium at 66 West 12th Street. According to notes in an Excel inventory created by Chris Crews, the recording on the miniDV matches the digital files.

Summary

No Longer in Exile: The Legacy and Future of Gender Studies at the New School was a two-day conference held in 2010 in celebration of the re-establishment of a gender studies program at The New School university. Faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate-level students and invited guest speakers discussed topics relevant to the discipline's past, present and future. This collection consists of the video files recorded during the conference.
