Mardi Gras, 1953-1955, 1958-1959

Scope and Contents

The Student Council-sponsored Mardi Gras parties were discontinued by an order of the Faculty Council, May 25, 1960, because it was perceived that these events were "getting far out of control." They were reinstated at an unknown, later date. Additional photographs, taken by alumnus Arto Szabo, documenting the 1959 Mardi Gras Ball will be found in the Parsons School of Design administrative offices collection (PC.03.01.02), Alumni Relations series.
