Margaret Lange student notebook
Margaret Louise Lange's notebook, produced while a student of Costume Design and Illustration at Parsons School of Design, 1938-1939, includes lecture notes, sketches, color studies and fashion clippings.
Margaret McKay Tee papers
Margaret McKay Tee (1882-1955) came to New York from Cripple Creek, Colorado in 1902 to attend Cooper Union. Frank Alvah Parsons later hired Tee as a student instructor at the New York School of Art. After returning to Colorado, Tee carried on a correspondence with Parsons. Tee's papers include letters from Parsons, photographs of Tee's paintings, and an autobiographical essay relating Tee’s upbringing and her experiences as a young art student.
Margaret Schmid Hartelius student work
Consists of two illustrations completed by Margaret Schmid (1922-2001) for an advertising design course at Parsons School of Design. After graduating in 1947. Schmid, whose name changed when she married Paul Hartelius, Jr., went on to a successful fifty-year career as an illustrator and children's book author.
Margaret Susan Daniell papers
The Margaret Susan Daniell papers consist of biographical materials, a student notebook and drawings from her education at Parsons School of Design in the late 1920s, and two photographs. Daniell (1907-1998) studied fashion design at Parsons and later worked at Paramount Studios.
Margery S. Knight sketchbooks
Margery Knight (1906-1994) taught figure drawing and fashion illustration at Parsons School of Design from 1946 to 1969. The twelve sketchbooks in this collection, dating from the 1950s to 1980, contain rapid figure and fashion sketches, lecture notes, and anatomy studies.
Marietta Gazzaniga musical excerpts scrapbook
A scrapbook of musical excerpts kept by opera singer Marietta Gazzaniga (1824-1884), who toured the United States and Cuba in the mid-nineteenth century. The Italian soprano compiled autographs, letters, and poems from major nineteenth century Italian composers and other music personalities, notably Giuseppe Verdi, into the bound volume, which spans almost forty years.
Mariette Cassels student notebooks
The collection consists of eight notebooks kept by Mariette Cassels (1905-1993) while studying in the Paris Ateliers of the New York School of Fine and Applied Art (now, Parsons The New School for Design) in 1930-1931. Includes lecture notes, photographs, postcards, clippings and sketches of furniture and decorative moldings.

Mark Schmidt collection of Mobilization materials
Mark Schmidt is an alumnus of Eugene Lang College at The New School who took part in the Mobilization for Real Diversity, Democracy, and Economic Justice. The Mobilization was a campus movement during the 1996-1997 school year that protested the firing of Professor M. Jacqui Alexander, an Afro-Carribbean feminist scholar and Graduate Faculty member. This small collection of materials, assembled by Schmidt, includes photographs and a video.
