Abstract

Art Brenner (1924-2013) was a sculptor of architectural-scale abstract art in steel metal. The collection includes a file about Brenner compiled by his sister-in-law, Natasha Brenner, as well as a rendering by Art Brenner of one of his sculptures, inscribed to Natasha and Noah Brenner. Noah was Art's brother.

Arthur Segal woodcuts

Summary

The collection consists of 68 prints out of a set of 70 from woodcuts created by Romanian-born painter Arthur Segal (1875-1944) between 1912 and 1919. The prints, from Segal's original blocks, were made on handmade paper by William Carter, and published by Richard Nathanson.

“Biomedical Research in the 21st Century” was a seminar series hosted by Eugene Lang College's Science, Technology and Society program in the Fall semester of 1998. Organized by New School professor Katayoun Chamany and Louis M. Aledort, a hematologist at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, the series featured lectures by physicians and scientists on topics related to biomedical research.
