Abstract

The New School established the Business Administration Center, directed by economist Julius Hirsch, in 1952 to "meet the practical and continuing needs of businessmen." The collection primarily consists of audio recordings from the Business Administration Center's monthly Labor-Management Luncheons. The luncheons featured speakers representing both management and union representatives with a focus on local, New York City issues related to collective bargaining.
