Keith McManus begins by discussing his transition from street photography to long-term projects documenting familiar subjects. He labels himself a documentarist, which he differentiates from a photojournalist. McManus then presents slideshow of his photographs. Workshop participants ask questions throughout.

Biographical / Historical
Keith McManus is an American documentary photographer whose work frequently depicts marginalized subjects, including those living in poverty, people with disabilities, and those living with HIV/AIDS. Beginning in 1980, McManus belonged to the cooperative agency Archive Pictures. He later worked as the photo editor at U.S. News & World Reports. He has also produced documentary films for PBS.
