This student work was created as the final project in a Fall 2012 BFA Illustration course, Pictozine, taught by Parsons School of Design faculty member Steven Kennedy. The course description from that semester indicates that the students were to make limited run self-published visual books, illustrated pamphlets, drawn brochures, pictorial chapbooks, artist's books, comics and image-based zines. Citron's project, dedicated to Steven [presumably Kennedy], illustrates excerpted passages from Allen Ginsberg's poem, "Howl." Kennedy donated the book to the New School Archives in 2023.
