The Fall 2003 Calendar includes the following description of the Jazz Presents concert series:

Jazz Presentsis the newest concert series brought to you by New School University's Jazz & Contemporary Music Program. Three times a semester, we will present an exciting Jazz group led by our outstanding faculty members, who will be joined by some of hte most sought-after musical artists on the Jazz scene. Each performing group will also feature a current student or recent graduate of the Jazz Program. With Jazz Presents, we hope to bring you an enlightening series combining exceptional Jazz artists of today with some of the most promising voices of Jazz to come! Each performance will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the artists. New School Jazz Presents is sponsored in part by a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts.
