Scope and Contents

A bound volume of student work and project photographs compiled by Michele Gorman, Yvette Chaparro, and Preeti Gopinath, directors of the Parsons School of Design School of Constructed Environments MFA programs in Industrial Design, Interior Design, and Textiles, respectively. A note from the Foreword describes the project and the subsequent publication:

This book results from our third dinner party held at Governor's Island in New York during Earth Day celebrations in the Spring of 2024. [This] endeavor started in the Spring of 2022 as a group of workshops and a symposium around food and waste . . . This third iteration focused on food systems, food ecologies, regenerative material practices, local processes, and Indigeous knowledge. The students came from two classes, an elective, Decolonized and Decarbonized Dinner Party and the studio, Interior Food Ecologies.
