Insight Out was planned as a bi-monthly newspaper designed, written and edited by students of Eugene Lang College. The first issue was published in December 1985 and marketed as a new “Lang College communication ehicle” which invited collaboration in the form of political articles, cultural reviews, feature articles, opinion pieces, creative work, photography and production assistance. The New School Archives holds only two issues: December 1985 and March 1986 (Vol. 1 No. 1 and No. 2). The second issue is notable for its cover story about the Challenger Space Shuttle explosion. It is unclear if this newspaper continued publication after the 1985-1986 academic year.
