New School MFA in Creative Writing program event recordings
The collection consists of roughly two decades of sound recordings documenting guest speakers, faculty, and students of The New School's MFA in Creative Writing Program, including events that pre-date the official establishment of the program in 1996. Included in this collection are awards ceremonies, tributes and celebrations, conferences and symposia, book and literary magazine launches, readings series and forums, and ongoing partnerships with external institutions such as the Harlem Writers Guild, Publishing Triangle, the Story Prize, and BOMB magazine.

New School mural commission documentation
The collection consists of documentation about five artists and the works they created for the New School at its flagship building at 66 West 12th Street, and for later additions to the building. The materials here were gathered and produced by the curators of the New School Art Collection. Materials include correspondence, photographs, documentation of restoration efforts, exhibition catalogs, and promotional materials.
New School Office of Communications, George Calderaro records
This record group consists of video recordings, clippings, publicity samples, advertising materials, and topical office files, which include a large number of press releases, created by George Calderaro in his capacity as director of publicity for what is, as of 2019, The New School's Schools of Public Engagement. Calderaro led the New School Communications Office (later subsumed into the Marketing and Communications unit), from 1995 to 2005.
New School Office of Development and Alumni Relations records
The three series within this collection represent the activities of the office responsible for fundraising and alumni relations at The New School in the 1970s and 1980s, particularly with regard to special events. Materials include invitations and announcements for award, sponsor and trustee dinners, dedications, and alumni receptions, as well as planning memoranda, post-event reports, lists of attendee and board prospects, and year-end wrap-ups.
The records appear to have been maintained by directors Marvin Rich and Kevin McMahon and associate director Michael Janiak, and by manager of Special Events, Linda Palmieri, and associate director of Development for Parsons School of Design, Alfred Szymanski.

These records represent public relations and course promotions activities of various divisions of the New School from the late 1960s and 1970s. Materials include press releases, internal and external reports, correspondence and memoranda, print publicity for courses, and organizational material regarding special programs and events.
New School Office of the President, Board of Trustees records
The New School Office of the President, Board of Trustees records were transferred from the university president's office and cover the presidencies of Jonathan Fanton and Bob Kerrey. The records consist of trustee name files containing correspondence, minutes, and other materials pertaining to that trustee, many of which are restricted.

Collection is comprised of materials relating to The New School for Social Research (now The New School) commencement ceremonies. Includes commencement programs, invitations, lists of degree recipients (including thesis topics), speech transcripts, and correspondence. Also includes materials relating to Parsons School of Design commencement ceremonies from the years 1980 and 1983.
New School Office of the President Entertainment, Event and Travel sub-group
These papers document the New School Office of the President’s planning efforts relating to hosting events and to travel, mostly from between 1979 and 1989, including events spanning the tenures of John Everett and Jonathan Fanton and travel during only the Fanton era. Documentation includes guest lists, seating arrangements, invitations and correspondence with speakers, attendees, and vendors, transcripts of speeches delivered by the president, and notes on fundraising and development strategy.
