Aftermath of September 11 event recordings
Collection consists of audiovisual recordings of seven events held at The New School in the weeks following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan.
New School for General Studies Dean's Forum recordings
The New School for General Studies offered the Dean's Forum as a public programming series during the deanship of Ann-Louise Shapiro, which began in the months immediately following the September 11th World Trade Center terrorist attacks. The audiovisual recordings constituting the collection document guest speakers' responses to global terrorism, the United States' security and military policies, post 9/11 impacts on minorities, and concerns regarding the balance between civil liberties and security, as well as the future of New York City.
Rose and Erwin Wolfson Center for National Affairs event recordings
The collection consists of audio and video recordings of events sponsored by the Rose and Erwin Wolfson Center for National Affairs at The New School. With the exception of the Center's inaugural semester in Fall 1986, the recordings document the entirety of Center's existence.

The New Reconstruction: America in the '70s lecture recordings
This collection consists of audio recordings of the six-lecture series, The New Reconstruction: America in the '70s, given by sitting United States senators at the New School for Social Research between November 1 and December 17, 1973. The series was produced by the New School in conjunction with the Fund for New Priorities in America, a New York-based non-profit organization started in 1968, which organized public discussion forums on important issues.
