These pages are pasted onto the back of Harper's paste-up boards--one is a page from an issue of Harper's; the others may come from Harper's, or possibly from another Ms. or another magazine.

Scope and Contents Probably never intended for publication, this book--an affectionate parody of Avedon and Truman Capote's 1959 book of portraits, Observations--playfully alters quotations from literary sources, juxtaposing text with images of Avedon and others. An inscription reads: "with apologies to Truman Capote, Alexey Brodovitch, Simon & Schuster, Audrey Hepburn and Mel Ferrer, Harper's Bazaar, Bob Bishop, Frank Finocchio and...
