Abstract

This collection primarily consists of drawings created by fashion designer and theater producer Robert Carreon (1947-2020) while enrolled as a student at Parsons School of Design between 1966 and 1968, as well as drawings from his Parsons admissions portfolio and publicity photos of his work from 1967 to 1969.

Summary Robert Galster (1923-1991) and Gilbert Ireland (1924-2015) were designers and alumni of Parsons School of Design. Galster worked as a freelance illustrator and designer. Ireland designed window displays for Bergdorf Goodman for over forty years. The collection consists primarily of Galster's work and includes examples of his designs for books, album covers, and theater posters. Abstract

Robert Heilbroner (1919-2005) was first associated with The New School as a research fellow in the 1950s and received his PhD in economics from the New School for Social Research in 1963, during which time he studied under Adolph Lowe. Heilbroner was named Norman Thomas Professor of Economics in 1971. The papers contain correspondence between Heilbroner and Lowe, along with material documenting tributes, and samples of Heilbroner's writings.

This collection consists of research papers written by students of the Robert J. Milano Graduate School of Management and Urban Professions (formed in 1978, renamed the The Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy in 2011) from 1978 to 2005. Papers are organized by program: Health Services Administration; Human Resources Management; Tourism, Travel and Transportation Management; and Urban Affairs and Policy Analysis.

Summary Robert L. Ramsey (1923-2012) was an art director, scenic designer, and alumni of The New School's Dramatic Workshop. Summary Robert Mackintosh (1925-1998) was a costume and fashion designer whose design career spanned forty years and twenty Broadway productions. He made his Broadway debut designing costumes for the 1952 musical Wish You Were Here. In the 1960s, Mackintosh branched out into womenswear design with Musette, a juniors label, which was sold at Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue.
