This collection consists of course catalogs from The New School, including continuing education courses, Eugene Lang College, the Dramatic Workshop of The New School, New School Art Workshops and the New School for Social Research, formerly known as the Graduate Faculty.
New School course descriptions collection
Consists of printed course description packets produced primarily for undergraduate classes offered at The New School, with Eugene Lang College and Parsons School of Design particularly well-represented. Packets include information regarding class schedules, instructors, credit hours, degree requirements, and curriculum.
New School Dean's Forum event recordings
New School Design and Construction office records
The New School Design and Construction office is a unit of the university's Buildings department. These records include construction documents for Loeb Hall, the first residence hall owned and operated by The New School which opened in August 1989, and a campus master plan from 2004.
New School digital course data collection
The New School began inputting course information into the database, Banner [banner.newschool.edu] around 2007. As of 2021, all New School course data is input into Banner through an interface called Tableau. This collection contains course data that has either been downloaded from Banner or from other New School websites. All divisions and undergraduate schools are represented, but courses for each college are not comprehensive.
New School Food Studies program event recordings
The New School's Food Studies program was established in 2008. This collection consists of audiovisual recordings of programming from its earliest years.
New School guides and handbooks collection
This collection contains student, faculty, and staff handbooks from The New School and various divisions and departments within the university. These guides cover student life, degree requirements, information about living in New York City, among other topics. Faculty handbooks offer teaching guidelines and regulations, while materials created for international students provide information on adapting to life in the United States.
New School in the News clippings
The collection includes files of photocopied clippings published between 1995-2001, pertaining to The New School and its divisions. The clippings were retained by The New School Communications Office and were assembled into monthly or seasonal bound editions titled New School in the News, which were distributed to individuals and offices throughout the university.
New School marketing and promotional materials collection
Printed publicity materials including but not limited to mailers, viewbooks, pamphlets, and postcards generally advertising The New School, or a particular course or program of study.
