Abstract
Three impressions from an edition of 100 prints produced in 1974 from a zinc-plate etching created in 1933. The etching is divided into six small panels in which each of the artists etched a portrait of another member of the group.

Scope and Contents
The collection consists of three prints from an edition of 100 made in 1974 from a 1933 zinc-plate etching. The etching is divided into a grid of six panels, in which each of the artists etched a portrait of another member of the group, all on a single etching plate. From top left to right, the portraits are: Lucille Corcos, by Dorothy Dehner; David Smith, by Lucille Corcos; Adolph Gottlieb, by Edgar Levy. Bottom row: Edgar Levy, by Esther Gottlieb; Dorothy Dehner, by Adolph Gottlieb; Esther Gottlieb, by David Smith. A small cat and alligator were etched by Edgar Levy into the middle border, between panels.

Historical note
According to David Levy--Edgar Levy's son and dean of Parsons School of Design during the 1970s and 1980s--the etching was made one evening in 1933. At the Brooklyn Heights apartment of Edgar Levy and Lucille Corcos, the six artists drew lots to decide who would portray whom in an etching. A single proof of the work was made by Adolph Gottlieb in 1933. In 1974, at the request of Edgar Levy and his son, David Corcos Levy, an edition of 100 was made by Michael Kirk on the Charles Brand presses at Parsons School of Design.
