Irene Walker interior design papers
Irene Walker (1919-2002) was a Parsons School of Design alumna ('51) and an interior designer, who worked for the firm McMillen Inc., before establishing her own firm, Joie de Vivre, Irene Walker Inc., in 1966. The collection consists of Walker's student work and documentation of her professional work.
Issey Miyake, Inc. lookbooks
Collection consists of English-language lookbooks and other printed promotional materials for Japanese fashion label Issey Miyake, Inc., produced largely between 2014 and 2016.

J. Hyde Crawford fashion illustrations
J. Hyde Crawford (1930-2013), an alumnus of Parsons School of Design, was a successful fashion illustrator associated with Bonwit Teller department store. This collection is comprised of approximately fifty original drawings and one hundred clippings and tearsheets documenting Crawford's illustration work.
Jacki Apple student fashion illustrations
Jacki Apple is a designer, artist, professor, and alumna of Parsons School of Design. She studied fashion illustration and graphic design at Parsons from 1960-1963 and went on to work for many years as a fashion designer in New York City. This collection consists of ten fashion illustrations Apple made at Parsons, likely in a fashion illustration course she took her first year at Parsons with Irene S. Frangides.
James Galanos sketches for Jimi Originals
In 1950, fashion designer James Galanos (1924-2016) started Jimi Originals with Mary Scourby. The company only existed for a short time, but it was the first company to market Galanos' creations under his name. The collection consists of twelve Jimi Originals fashion sketches as well as invoices and notes. Galanos was a critic at Parsons School of Design from 1962 to 1968.
James Henry Pickering papers
James Henry Pickering, Jr. (1904-1969) was an American illustrator and retail merchandiser who served as the president of Amos Parrish & Company, Inc. The collection primarily comprises examples of his illustration work, yet it also contains information about his personal life and career. Records in the collection from Pickering’s career at Amos Parrish & Co. include promotional brochures, speeches from fashion clinics, and merchandising workbooks.
James Nuckolls papers
This collection consists of primarily press clippings, along with a small amount of biographical material, by and about James Nuckolls, a lighting designer and professor at Parsons School of Design from 1970 until his death in 1987.
James Vinton Stowell sketch of Harry Baker
James Vinton Stowell graduated from the New York School of Fine and Applied Art (later, Parsons The New School for Design) in 1917 with an Advertising Design degree, and was employed by the school as a trade representive through the 1918-1919 academic year. The subject of the pencil sketch, titled "Portrait of 'Our Mr. Baker'," is Harry B. Baker, who taught life drawing at the school from 1915 until his death in 1941.
Jan Uretsky papers
This collection contains the personal papers of Parsons School of Design alumnus Jan A. Uretsky (1960-2016). Uretsky was an artist and graphic designer, whose clients included HarperCollins Publishers, New York University, and The New School, among others. The collection is comprised of the administrative files from his graphic design company, visual examples of client work, educational records, and family photographs.
