Bob Hiemstra fashion and concept illustrations

Summary

The collection consists of approximately 500 professional illustrations by Parsons School of Design alumnus Bob Hiemstra, from the beginning of the 1980s into the early 1990s, when he produced fashion and spot illustrations for a wide range of magazines, newspapers, cosmetic companies and department stores.

Carl Erickson (Eric) fashion illustrations

Abstract

Carl Erickson (1891-1958), who signed his work "Eric," was a leading fashion illustrator whose drawings appeared in Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, among other publications. In 1964, Parsons School of Design hosted a retrospective of Erickson's work. The New School Archives' collection consists of fourteen works, possibly originating from that exhibit.

Fred Brenner fashion illustrations

Fred Brenner (1920-2006) was a fashion illustrator specializing in menswear, who taught illustration at Parsons School of Design from 1962 until 1984. This collection is comprised of approximately forty original fashion illustrations, as well as a smaller number of publications featuring his work, reprints and pre-print process work.

Fred Greenhill fashion illustrations

Summary

Fred Greenhill (1925-2007) graduated from Parsons School of Design in 1950. He went on to work as a fashion illustrator for Neiman Marcus in the 1950s, and was the primary artist for Saks Fifth Avenue in the 1960s and early 70s. Greenhill is most recognized for his work at Lord & Taylor from 1974 into the 1980s. The collection holds approximately 700 illustrations that Greenhill created from the 1960s through the 1980s.

J. Hyde Crawford fashion illustrations
